A vacancy on the Santa Maria Public Airport District Board of Directors, Division 2,
has occurred due to the resignation of Board Member Ignacio “Nash” Moreno.
The Board of Directors intends to fill the vacancy by appointment. The Board of Directors may
make an appointment to fill the vacancy on or after January 8, 2026.
The person appointed will serve until the results ofthe next general District election on November
3, 2026 are certified and the new Director takes office.
The District is accepting applications for the appointment. A person seeking appointment to this
position must, at a minimum, be a resident of Division 2 and registered voter of the District, and be
able to attend regular Board meetings on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm.
Eligible persons who are interested in being appointed to fill this vacancy may apply by submitting
brief letter of interest, including a statement of eligibility based on the criteria listed above and any
relevant experience of qualifications for the Board’s consideration, by email to

3217 Terminal Drive, Santa Maria, CA 93455, no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2026.
The Board reserves the right to appoint any eligible person.
This notice has been posted at least 15 days before any appointment may be made at three
prominent locations in the District as required by Government Code Section 1780.
